About: The Irie Foundation is working year round to improve and create a positive impact on the lives of South Florida’s at-risk youth. Through a number of proactive initiatives, we are committed to helping kids get on the right track and strive for successful futures. The Foundation, which is supported by remarkable sponsors and partners, also hosts numerous fundraising events, including the annual Irie Weekend, one of South Florida’s most highly anticipated events of the year.
Mission statement: Seeking to empower at-risk youth to lead productive lives through cultural experiences, educational initiatives mentorship programs, and scholarship opportunities, The Irie Foundation follows the young people it serves from middle school, through high school, and beyond, ultimately aiming to inspire students to graduate, pursue higher education, and aspire towards developing into successful adults.
Founder: A highly sought after philanthropist, global brand, entertainer and entrepreneur, DJ Irie established the Irie Foundation in an effort to provide South Florida’s troubled youth with opportunities they may not otherwise have available to them. Calling Miami home, DJ Irie has – and continues to be – a supporter of numerous local and national non-profit organizations, in addition to his active role with The Irie Foundation.
